About this file
This is a Price Proposal (2025-RFB-005) for Crushed Stone and Gravel for Dane County, Wisconsin, soliciting bids for various stone, gravel, and aggregate materials. The document outlines a comprehensive pricing request for multiple categories including crushed stone (with and without fines), gravel, sand, top soil, and highway debris disposal services. The county seeks loaded pricing per ton for materials to be delivered to the Dane County Landfill Site #2 in Madison, with specific delivery expectations of 24-36 hours after order placement, and occasional same-day delivery for orders placed before noon. The estimated quantity for key items includes 4,500 tons of 3/4" Crushed Stone and 1,500 tons of 1-1/2" Washed Stone.
Vendors are required to complete the pricing spreadsheet by filling in orange-highlighted cells, with options to indicate "no bid" for items they are not proposing. The pricing structure covers multiple delivery and disposal scenarios, including loaded pricing, dumping fees by weight, and disposal fees by tri-axle and quad-axle loads. Vendors must also provide detailed information about their quarry and pit locations, including addresses, contact information, and hours of operation. The county reserves the right to purchase materials elsewhere if a vendor cannot meet delivery requirements, suggesting a competitive and performance-driven procurement process.
