ADDENDUM I
DATE: May 8, 2024
TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
FROM: Edward Tulenko, Senior Buyer
RE: ADDENDUM I, “ BID #25004 Painting of ACCGov Courthouse Parking Deck ”
Pursuant to “BID #25004 Painting of ACCGov Courthouse Parking Deck” the following information is provided:
1. QUESTION: Please clarify with dates the time we will have to work on this project and completed by.
ANSWER: This work cannot begin until UGA is out of school for the summer. All work must be completed prior to UGA starting back to school in the fall or the first home UGA football game; whichever comes first.
2. QUESTION: Exactly where are the white poles to be painted?
ANSWER: There is no mention of white poles in the bid package. If you are referring to the STEEL LIGHT POLES, these are on the 5th floor of the parking deck.
3. QUESTION: There is an equipment storage cage on one of the floors. Is it expected to be painted?
ANSWER: Yes, this is the contractor's responsibility.
4. QUESTION: Who removes the metal signage plates at different areas on the wall, or paint around them?
ANSWER: Cut in around all METAL signs.
5. QUESTION: Under Concrete/cement specifications in the provided bid document, you have requested Caulk: Loxon S1 One Component Smooth Polyurethane Sealant smooth white for use in caulking masonry joints and cracks.
Do we need to need to re-seal all of the joints including on concrete floors, and joints on concrete floors and support columns on the interior of the parking deck, and around stairwells, as well as sealants present in the pierced opening/Face brick holes.
Or do we just need to remove and install caulking on masonry joints where it meets with brick?
The face brick openings would fall under this as well.
ANSWER: Only replace what is not attached. It must match the existing caulk color. Do not cut out all the caulk, just what is not adhered to.
