About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) from the Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility (NCTRF) seeks to identify domestic manufacturers capable of producing Berry amendment-compliant molders shoes for the U.S. Navy. The RFI requires interested parties to submit production-quality shoe samples with specific design and technical requirements, including a slip-on style with elastic gusset, full grain cattlehide leather upper in black, steel safety toe, and various performance characteristics like flame resistance, slip resistance, and electrical hazard resistance.
Respondents must provide a cover sheet with company details, 1-2 pairs of unisex/men's size 10D shoe samples (including a lengthwise cut pair), estimated unit costs, product descriptions, specification sheets, country of origin, chemical treatment disclosures, lists of military users and available sizes, and last information. Submissions are due by close of business on 03 NOV 2025 to the NCTRF in Natick, MA. The market research is informational only and will not directly lead to contract awards, with a focus on identifying domestic manufacturing capabilities for potential future procurement of molders shoes.
