About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for Solicitation Number 25-ITB-003-CM issued by the Florida Department of Commerce, concerning South Florida Custodial Services for two locations: a Hollywood building and a Fort Lauderdale complex. The addendum modifies the original Invitation to Bid (ITB) by updating the Purchasing Office contact information, clarifying contractor responsibilities for supplies and equipment, and providing responses to 39 bidder questions. The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive custodial services, including daily and nightly cleaning, floor maintenance, and periodic deep cleaning. The response opening date is set for June 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST, with the anticipated contract period to be determined based on the ITB's Section B.20.

The addendum reveals several key details about the contract requirements, including that the successful contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment of commercial quality. The estimated monthly supply consumption includes 20 cases of multi-fold paper towels, 5 cases of toilet tissue, and various other cleaning materials. The Department will not provide a sales tax exemption, and bidders are responsible for paying applicable sales taxes. No estimated budget is being shared, and there are no optional services included. The contract will require monthly performance meetings, and while a general performance bond is not required, the Fort Lauderdale location requires that contractor personnel be bonded for fidelity. The ITB anticipates issuing two contracts, potentially to the same or separate bidders, based on the lowest responsive and responsible bids.
