About this file
This is a Cost Proposal form for Contract 25-0128, issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture for tree removal services in Los Angeles County. The contract covers the removal of infected citrus trees and is structured as a three-year agreement with separate cost proposals for Year One, Year Two, and Year Three. Bidders are required to provide unit pricing for three categories of tree removal services: small trees (up to 7 feet tall), medium trees (greater than 7 feet and up to 14 feet tall), and large trees (greater than 14 feet tall), calculated on a per-tree basis. Additional line items include a mobilization fee charged per day and replacement charges per tree for soil, compost, and/or turf restoration as needed.
The cost proposal requires bidders to provide pricing for all line items, with the understanding that all costs are inclusive of labor, equipment, removal and disposal, materials, tools, licenses, permits, supervision, inspection, insurance, transportation, and per diem expenses. Bidders must complete all cost fields; failure to provide a dollar amount for any item may result in bid rejection. A zero dollar amount submitted for any service line will be interpreted as the contractor agreeing to perform that service at no cost to the State. The document explicitly prohibits any modifications, alterations, or additions to the cost proposal form, and the estimated quantities provided are for bid comparison purposes only with no guarantee of actual quantities needed during contract performance.
