QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Question: Can you provide the list of plan holders for this project?
Response: The plan holders list as of 7/19/2024 is included below.
http://www.albanyga.gov/
2. Question: Is there a manufacturer that is preferred or basis of design for this project?
Response: There is no preferred manufacturer. See Part 2 – Products in each applicable Technical Specification section for listed manufacturers.
3. Question: What is the sequence of operation?
Response: The sequence of operation for the pumps is as follows: Lead pump on to start at the water level shown on the drawings. If water level continues to rise as a result of incoming flow or failure of lead pump on, then lag pump will start at the shown water level float (see drawing sheet C1.07 for elevations).
If water level continues to rise due to high flows or failure of lag pump on, then standby pump will turn on at the shown water level float. As the water level starts to drop down in the pump wet well, each pump will turn off at the shown water level float. Once all pumps are off, then the lead pump will alternate during the next cycle.
4. Question: Are we basing our control panel design on the information on the drawings or written specs? There are some contradictions between the two.
Response: The drawings shall take precedence over any contradictions with the specifications.
5. Question: What outputs are required for connection to the existing SCADA?
Response: Telemetry will have amps and running based on 3ct meters, high wet well alarm, power loss alarm, and door open alarm.
6. Question: What are the estimated bypass pumping requirements for the force main replacement?
Response: It is estimated that 1500 gpm is sufficient. Please note this information is for planning purposes only, and actual flow conditions may vary. The contractor is responsible for all storm drainage pumping and any overflows that may occur for any reason including, but not limited to, equipment failure, clogging, hose or pipe breakage, or high flows.
