About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) for Pre-Employment Background Investigation and Verification Services. The Addendum revises the Scope of Work to add the Services Division and includes a new Exhibit A-1 County and Division Map. CHP estimates up to 800 pre-employment background investigations and verifications may be needed per year throughout the term of the agreement, which will be performed at various locations in the CHP Central and Coastal Division counties. The services shall be provided as determined by CHP and the Contractor, with all dates subject to change. The Addendum also provides details on the general investigative requirements, including the use of relevant CHP and POST forms, protecting applicant privacy, and addressing any mistakes or omissions in the background investigations.
The pricing terms are not specified in the Addendum, but the IFB indicates this is an open competitive solicitation. The Addendum does not mention any set asides, incumbents, or funding details. The contract term is not explicitly stated, but the language implies an initial term with potential for renewal.
