About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the rebuild of three Steady Rests for a Betts Shaft Lathe. The government intends to award a single contract to a vendor responsible for the complete remanufacturing of the Steady Rests to OEM standards. The rebuilt Steady Rests must be painted a specific color and will undergo final inspection and acceptance at the destination by a government representative. The vendor must provide all inspection and testing documentation, and the parts will be warranted for at least one year.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation for the REBUILD OF 3 STEADY RESTS FOR THE BETTS SHAFT LATHE. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302 authority. The applicable NAICS code is 333517. Interested parties must respond to the sources sought notice by May 8, 2024 to be considered, but this is not a request for quote or proposal, and the government is under no obligation to award a contract.
