1. Question: With effluent being backed up in manholes and piping would it make sense to construct new lagoons before the pipe cleaning and cctv? Then the effluent could be diverted or pumped to the new lagoons and the manholes and piping would be clear to clean and TV.

Answer: The new lagoons will not be constructed prior to the main televising.

2. Question: -Will this job require certified payroll?

Answer: Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to this job, and thus weekly, certified payroll is required.

3. Question: - The specs. call for a specific Polylok riser or equal. could 24" HDPE pipe cut to the proper length be used as an equal?

Answer: 24” HDPE dual wall pipe cut to the proper length can be used as an equal to the Polylok risers.

4. Question: - With a lagoon would an effluent filter be necessary?

Answer: Replacement of effluent filters at the septic tanks will not be necessary.

5. Question: - Are the existing septic tanks single or dual compartment?

Answer: Existing septic tanks are dual compartment.

6. Question: - If these are single compartment tanks there should be a 24" pump lid in the existing septic tank. Probably in the center. Could that existing access be used as a pump riser rather than adding two pump risers on each end? I wonder if cutting larger holes on each end of the tank would compromise the integrity of the top of the tank.

Answer: There are two 24” pump lids on the existing septic tanks for the installation of the risers. Larger holes will not need to be cut into the existing septic tanks.
