About this file
This document is an Invitation for Quotes (IFQ #242634FB) issued by Sarasota County, Florida, soliciting quotes for a ChemPro X Handheld Chemical Detector. The county seeks to purchase one new orthogonal chemical detector for the Sarasota County Fire Department-Station 20, with delivery required within fifteen calendar days of purchase order receipt. The solicitation requires vendors to submit quotes through the OpenGov Procurement portal, with a maximum quote threshold of $150,000 per project or contract year. The requested device must meet detailed technical specifications, including capabilities for detecting chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals, with features such as orthogonal detection, datalogging, a full-color display, wireless networking, and built-in training modes.
The procurement is grant-funded, which impacts certain preferential considerations, and local and American business preferences do not apply in this award. The successful vendor will receive a purchase order and must provide a fully warrantied product for a minimum of one year. The kit must include the handheld detector, transit case, user manuals, battery, charging equipment, and various accessories. Vendors must comply with specific insurance requirements, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and business automobile liability coverage. The county reserves the right to reject any quotes that do not meet the specified technical requirements or to cancel the solicitation and re-solicit using alternative procurement methods if no responsive quotes are received.
