About this file
This is an Invitation for Quotes (IFQ) #242620FB issued by Sarasota County, Florida, seeking a supplier for one new Resolve handheld Raman analyzer for the Sarasota County Fire Department. The solicitation requires the vendor to deliver a chemical identification device with specific technical specifications, including through-barrier scanning capabilities, multiple operation modes, WiFi connectivity, and flexible onboard libraries for identifying various substances. The product must be delivered within 15 calendar days of purchase order receipt to Fire Department Station 20, with the county reserving the right to inspect and potentially reject the product within 5 business days of receipt if it does not meet specifications.
The total quote is not to exceed $150,000, and the county intends to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The solicitation is grant-funded, which means local and American business preferences do not apply in this procurement. Vendors must complete a vendor questionnaire and pricing table in the OpenGov procurement portal, and the county will issue a purchase order to the successful offeror. The product will be fully warrantied for one year from acceptance or for the standard manufacturer warranty period, whichever is longer. Vendors must also provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and business automobile liability, with Sarasota County named as an additional insured.
