The scope includes design development, permitting through Georgia DNR Coastal Resources Division, DNR Environmental Protection Division, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, followed by construction. The project will be considered complete after vegetation has been successfully established for one year.
The project budget is set at $400,000, with proposals required to include both a lump-sum price and per-unit pricing breakdown for construction materials and methods. Proposals are limited to 20 pages and will be evaluated based on qualifications and experience with similar projects, approach and methodology, proposed budget, and project timeline. The RFP includes a project map showing two sections (Flexamat and Plexamat) of shoreline to be stabilized. The City reserves the right to make multiple awards if deemed in its best interest, though a single award is anticipated within 60 days of proposal opening.
