About this file

This document is an addendum to a Georgia Southern University project for the partial roof replacement of the Rosenwald Building. The Base Bid scope of work includes replacing approximately 53 squares of low slope roofing and 52 squares of shingle roofing, including minor deck repairs, insulation, and roofing systems. Alternate No. 1 includes removing approximately 11 squares of low slope roofing, resulting in a 10 calendar day deduction. The addendum clarifies that contractors are required to reconnect fallen downspouts using a minimum of 2 straps per section and replace new sheet metal gutters and downspouts on certain roof areas, but are not required to replace existing conductor heads or rotted fascia. Contractors have the option to remove or cover the existing Veral flashings, provided protection is in place between bituminous and single ply membrane products.

The document does not provide details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient commercial information. It focuses on clarifying the technical scope of work and responding to contractor questions related to the project.
