About this file
This Scope of Work Outline is for the Vanderbilt Beach Hurricane Ian Repairs—Dune Walkovers project by Collier County, Florida. The project involves demolishing and reconstructing three dune boardwalks (Boardwalks #1, #3, and #7), including removing existing pressure-treated wood, installing new IPE wood handrails and walking surfaces, extending Boardwalk #7 with tubular railings, and completing minor site restoration. The work will include purchasing and installing all materials, coordinating with park staff and other contractors, maintaining site safety and access, providing progress photographs, and using Collier County's Procore project management platform. The contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary permits, including a building permit, and must work diligently with a minimum of one crew from project initiation to completion.
The project is a lump sum contract with all work to be completed as depicted in the project plans, with the bid schedule representing a quantification of the work. Specific requirements include maintaining construction hours from 8 am to sundown Monday through Friday, keeping the work site secure, providing daily cleaning, blocking off construction areas, submitting specifications and product data for approval, and performing a final clean of all work areas. The project has a high profile within the community, and the contractor must coordinate closely with Collier County's project management team. Plans and specifications were prepared by Q. Grady Minor & Associates, P.A., and an FDEP Permit By Rule is in place for the project.
