About this file

This document is an Addendum for Invitation to Bid (ITB) #24-194 for Utility Relocating and Marking Services issued by the City of Johns Creek, Georgia. The addendum provides answers to questions submitted by potential bidders regarding the scope of work, which includes locating and marking the City's fiber optic utility and traffic signals. The fiber optic network feeds the City Hall, Police Department, and GDOT facilities. The traffic signals utilize various detection methods including radar, loops, and video. The City has digital maps of the utilities in GIS, DGN, and NexusWorx formats. Bidders are required to submit 5 hard copies of their technical proposal and 1 hard copy of their cost proposal in sealed envelopes. The City does not anticipate a significant change in the projected 200 monthly locates. The City pays an annual membership fee to Georgia 811 and will provide reimbursement for those costs to the successful contractor. Pricing for emergency locates and additional services such as site surveillance is requested in the bid document. The contract term and any renewal options are not specified.

The cost proposal format is provided in Appendix B of the solicitation. Pricing information should include the contractor's fees, any applicable set-asides, and any other relevant pricing details. The City did not indicate whether there are any incumbent contractors or the current environment for these services. Funding sources and amounts were also not provided in the addendum.
