About this file

This document is a written questions and responses document related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Non-Hazardous Waste Removal and Recycling Services at the Carmichael DMV Field Office in California. The IFB is issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and covers a 36-month contract term. The scope of work includes non-hazardous waste removal and recycling services, with a total estimated contract cost of $18,720.00. Bidder qualifications include being a franchise hauler authorized by Sacramento County, and not being a target of economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. government. The schedule of events indicates that written questions are due by 9/11/2024, with written responses released by 9/18/2024, and the final bid submission due on 9/24/2024. The proposed contract start date is 1/1/2025 or upon contract approval.

The IFB specifies that the bulky waste pile size is limited to 5 cubic yards, and the expectation is that someone will need to load items like chairs, shelves, small tables, binders, and other office items. Historical data on the types of materials typically removed is not available. The IFB also notes that bidders must represent that they are not a target of economic sanctions.
