About this file

This Questions and Answers document from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) provides clarification on fiscal and budgetary matters related to the Rapid Silicosis Surveillance contract opportunity. The document confirms that CDPH follows the State Fiscal Year calendar running from July 1 through June 30. CDPH reserves the right to extend the term via amendment for up to one additional year to complete or continue services.

The document addresses budget flexibility, stating that as a deliverables-based agreement, contractors may move funds between budget lines within each deliverable. However, indirect costs cannot exceed 20% of the total proposed amount, and the total proposed amount cannot be exceeded. The same questions and answers are repeated twice in the document, suggesting this may be a consolidated version of multiple communications.
