About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) in California for Temporary/Relief Healthcare Staffing Services. The IFB is for a contractor to provide temporary and relief healthcare staffing on an as-needed basis for five DSH state hospitals. The IFB seeks bids for 35 different healthcare professional classifications, and bidders must be able to provide staff for all classifications. The contract is a renewal of existing contracts, and DSH intends to award multiple agreements. DSH will contact awarded contractors in bid order when requesting services, and failure of an awarded contractor to respond within 2 hours will result in DSH requesting services from the next lowest awardee.
The addendum provides responses to questions from potential bidders, including details on the current contracts, pricing information, and bidding requirements. Bidders must be medical corporations, physician-owned entities, or otherwise comply with the Medical Practices Act. Pricing is subject to a 25% maximum markup, and the state will not regulate vendor pay rates. DSH does not have information on the estimated budget, number of resources currently engaged, or previous years' business volumes.
