About this file

This document is a Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Source issued by the Collier County Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division in Naples, Florida, specifically targeting Midmark Corporation as the sole provider for Midmark Sani-Kennals for the Domestic Animal Services division. The notice is open from 4/02/24 to 4/09/24 at 3:00 PM EST, with responses to be submitted online through the Collier County Procurement Services Division Online Bidding System. The document seeks to verify whether the specifications are non-restrictive and if alternative vendors exist, providing an opportunity for other vendors to contest the sole source designation.

The procurement is classified as a sole source procurement, defined as selecting a specific supplier based on unique capabilities, proprietary technology, or lack of competition. No pricing is requested at this stage, and respondents who disagree with the sole source designation must provide detailed documentation showing alternative qualified sources. The Procurement Services Division will be the sole determining authority in establishing the approved status, and their decision cannot be protested or appealed. The notice emphasizes that this is not an invitation to bid or quote, but rather a notification of intent to potentially award a contract without competitive bidding if deemed in the county's best interest.
