About this file

This document appears to be a Q&A response related to the Houston County School District's Request for Proposals (RFP) for virtual infrastructure, identified as RFP 24-040. The RFP requests proposals for virtual infrastructure, with a key requirement being that the proposed solution must include at least five (5) years of warranty, support, and software/firmware updates. The Q&A response addresses a scenario where the vendor can only offer 3 years of hardware support under the E-rate program, and confirms that the vendor can quote the 3-year support as part of the E-rate eligible costs, while providing years 4 and 5 of support as a separate quote to be funded from non-E-rate sources.

The RFP is being issued by the Houston County School District, located in the state of Georgia. The contract term and any renewal options are not specified in the provided information.

Text version

24-040 Virtual Infrastructure Question & Answers Question: 2.1.1 states “Must include at least five (5) years of warranty, support, and software/firmware updates”. Under Nutanix’s erate eligibility we can only offer 3 years of HW support.

Is this something we can quote the 3 year and provide year’s 4 and 5 as a separate quote that would be funded out of non-erate funds?

Answer: Yes
