About this file

This document is a Cost Proposal for IFB No. 24-0109 "GROUND APPLICATION OF PESTICIDES FOR ERADICATION/CONTROL PROJECTS AGAINST PLANT PEST DISEASE" issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for Los Angeles County. The proposal requests bids for the application of pesticides commonly used by the Pest Detection Emergency Projects Program on exotic fruit flies and other plant pests. The contract will cover a 3-year period with options to renew annually. Bidders must provide unit costs per gallon for spray truck, hand/backpack, and pelletized/granular pesticide application, as well as the costs of specific pesticide products and a Pest Control Advisor (PCA) to provide safety training and guidance.

The bids will be evaluated based on both the competitiveness of the application rates and pesticide costs as applicable to CDFA's usage. Bidders must convert the application rates to gallons of mixed product and include all costs for mixing, loading, and applying the pesticides in accordance with California Department of Pesticide Regulation laws. The selection will be determined by CDFA.
