1.2 Background

DoDEA procured an enterprise license for a vendor-hosted, web-based typing—that is, keyboarding—program in fiscal year 2018 (FY18) for approximately 45,000 K-5 students attending 113 schools worldwide. In accordance with Federal regulations, this requirement must be recompeted in FY23.

1.3 Scope of Work

DoDEA requires a vendor-hosted, web-based keyboarding program to assist elementary educators in providing keyboarding instruction for K-12 students. The demand for the secondary program exists but the expected usage cannot be determined. It is expected that some—but not all—students in grades 6-12 would be novice learners who would be refining their existing keyboarding skills. The Contractor’s solution must be able to serve the needs of a large community of learners dispersed across the world. DoDEA expects to award one contract for a 1-year base period and four 1-year option periods.

The tasks below are provided to help the Contractor gain a better understanding of the requirements. They are not all inclusive, so the Contractor is expected to develop the total solution to meet all the requirements in accordance with a performance-based approach.
