About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 for Request for Proposals (RFP) #2339 for Digital E-Paper Real-Time Information Signs issued by Intercity Transit in Olympia, Washington. The addendum addresses questions about API and GTFS integration requirements, delivery schedules for displays at various transit facilities, solar kit specifications, enclosure requirements, and clarifications regarding line items in the Cost Proposal attachment. The document includes updated specifications for 32" outdoor e-paper enclosures and mounting requirements, along with detailed technical drawings.
The addendum clarifies that all prices in the Cost Proposal should be pre-tax values and includes modifications to Attachments A and B. Key equipment specifications include various sizes of e-paper signs (13", 23", 28", 32", and 42"), solar panel kits (20W-25W and 40W-50W), and associated enclosures and mounting hardware. The document notes that funding has not yet been secured for displays and enclosures at several locations including Lacey Transit Center, Martin Way Park and Ride, Amtrak Centennial Station, and various bus stops, making delivery schedules currently unavailable for these locations.

Question 9:
If the display itself complies with NEMA and UL requirements stated in the RFP, would Intercity Transit consider the fabricated enclosures as protective coverings or mounting hardware that do not require separate NEMA 3R and UL listings?
Response 9:
If the display itself complies with NEMA and UL requirements as stated in the RFP, the fabricated enclosures could be considered as protective covering or mounting hardware provided that all electrical and communication components external to the display are housed within a NEMA 3R enclosure located within the protective covering and the entire fabricated enclosure with displays and ancillary equipment is UL listed as a whole.
