This is a Scope of Work document for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for exotic vegetation control and removal services with installation of native and littoral plants. The project encompasses aquatic vegetation management across specified water bodies, requiring contractors to remove invasive exotic plant species and establish native plant communities to restore ecological function. The scope includes site preparation, mechanical and chemical removal methods, native plant procurement and installation, and post-installation maintenance. Specific quantities and locations for vegetation removal and planting are detailed in project maps and exhibits. Response to this solicitation was required by February 4, 2023, with work anticipated to commence following contract award. Site visits were available for prospective bidders to assess project conditions and scope complexity. The contract term extends for the initial service period with potential for renewal or extension based on performance and funding availability.

Pricing for this work is to be submitted on a unit cost basis, with compensation tied to acres treated, linear feet of littoral zone planted, or specific plant quantities installed, depending on the service component. The contract includes provisions for minority-owned and women-owned business enterprise participation where applicable under Florida procurement guidelines. Funding for this project derives from FDEP environmental restoration budgets or grant sources designated for invasive species management and wetland restoration initiatives. All work must comply with Florida environmental regulations, including permitting requirements for aquatic plant management and native species installation in sensitive water bodies.
