About this file

This is Amendment #1 to Request for Bid (RFB) 22-5064 issued by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Purchasing Services for outdoor metal furniture for the UW-Madison Wisconsin Union. The amendment, issued on May 3, 2021, updates language for Lot 3 and Lot 4 and must be returned with bid submissions due by May 13, 2021. Lot 3 includes full-size terrace furniture items such as standard terrace tables (45 units), terrace chairs with and without arms (120 and 200 units respectively), terrace bar stools with arms (25 units), terrace cocktail tables (10 units), and terrace chair backs in various colors (200 units). Lot 4 comprises souvenir items including mini terrace chairs (1,600 units), mini terrace tables (675 units), and terrace coasters (3,350 units), all available in specified color options. The contractor must maintain inventory to prevent shipping delays and provide a Madison-area pickup option. Bid prices and terms shall be firm for sixty days from the bid opening date. All bid openings will be conducted electronically due to COVID-19, with results emailed to responding bidders.

The awarded contractor for Lots 3 and 4 must pay royalty fees of 5 percent to the Memorial Union Building Association (MUBA) and 12 percent to Fermata on all contract-related retail sales, with these percentages not included in the bid pricing. Bidders must provide unit prices, shipping costs to locations within the lower 48 states, and customer pickup fees. For Lot 4 items, bidders may offer price reductions for larger order quantities. All furniture items must be stamped with the appropriate trademark, and souvenir chairs must be manufactured from .060-thick material with deburring and powder paint finish according to provided specifications. Bidders must certify the absence of conflicts of interest, collusion, and debarment status, and the UW-Madison Purchasing Services bid document on file serves as the controlling document for any resulting contract.
