About this file

This is Addendum #2 to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 22-080-2 for the City of Johns Creek's 2022 Neighborhood Roads Resurfacing project. The addendum addresses three key questions submitted by bidders prior to the March 10, 2022 question deadline. Regarding material specifications, the City clarified that 9.5mm Type II asphalt mix is preferred for the final surface layer based on GDOT layer thickness requirements, despite an inconsistency between the bid package and bid form. The project completion deadline is September 30, 2022, marking the end of the fiscal year, and the City declined to extend this date despite contractor requests. Sealed bids were due no later than 2:00 PM on Monday, March 21, 2022, through the Georgia Purchasing Group's BidNet online bidding system accessible via the City website.

The addendum confirms that preconstruction inspection identified only minor deficiencies that do not require patching, and therefore no separate patching line item will be included in the contract. The City of Johns Creek reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award the contract in its best interest while waiving technicalities and informalities. The project is subject to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations regarding non-discrimination, with explicit assurance that disadvantaged business enterprises will have full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, or sex. Neil Trust serves as the Purchasing & Contracts Manager for the City.
