Notice of Intent to Sole Source – Solicitation #FA462521Q1017, 400 Hertz External Power Supply Unit Maintenance
The 509th Contracting Squadron intends to award a single source solicitation under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This requirement is for the purchase of services of uninterrupted preventative maintenance of 33, 400 Hertz external power supply units, assigned to the 509th Maintenance Group. Controlled Systems is the original manufacturer of all 400 Hertz external power supply units on Whiteman AFB, MO. The systems have been heavily modified with proprietary technology to meet the unique requirements of the B-2. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310 and the small business size is $8.0M.
This will be a firm fixed price contract. Award will be made on or before 30 Sep 2021.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes technical data and cost information, with sufficient detail and convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to meet this requirement. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government.
A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source procurement.
Capability statements are due on 4 Aug 2021 by 2:00 PM Central Time. Capability statements shall be submitted by email ONLY as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment to the address, below. Additionally, all questions regarding the award shall be made to the following address:
