VENDOR QUESTION #2:

Good morning Stephanie, As the due date is Nov 20, 2021 08:00 am EST so we are worried whether we are going to submit our proposal in time or not because I need to answer my Sub he as questions. So is there a chance for extension due date.

ANSWER:

Good afternoon, I appreciate your interest in this project. Due to Coast Guard regulations your company needs to be registered with COTP Captain of the Port IAW Title 33 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 156 governs transfer operations of oil and hazardous materials on the navigable waters of the US from a vessel with a capacity of 250 barrels (or more). Since the cutter’s capacity exceeds 250 barrels any vendor conducting over the water transfers of oil/hazmat from the cutter to a truck needs to comply with the requirements laid out in the CFR. Please reference this Title and it will guide you on the requirements for the Coast Guard. This process can take roughly 60 to 90 days if the bidding vendor does not already have an approved plan on file with the CG. I am sorry for any confusion in this matter and we will not be extending the solicitation due to the timeliness of the requirement.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you, SK1 Stephanie Matthews USCG Base Cleveland
