STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

FOR

Station Holland Furnace Replacement

PR#:

2121CV210

1.0 GENERAL

1.1 BACKGROUND

U.S. Coast Guard Station Holland has two residential furnaces that are substantially past their estimated life expectancy. A third furnace in the building ceased operating this winter and caused a partial loss of heat to the building and during the emergency replacement it was found that the remaining two furnaces were 26 years old, roughly 11 years past their estimated service life. To prevent another unexpected loss of heating the two remaining furnaces need to be replaced with new models.

1.2 SCOPE

Two residential furnaces need to be sourced and replaced. Ideally they would be replaced with the same model (BRYANT 800SA42090 SINGLE STAGE 80% GAS FURNACE) that was recently installed to keep continuity for parts and service. One is located in the unit’s boiler room and the other is located on the ceiling of the workshop. Scaffolding will need to be erected to reach the furnace in the workshop as it is installed approx. nine feet up from the floor on the overhead.

1.3 OBJECTIVE

Unit needs a civilian company to source and replace two residential furnaces; one in the building’s boiler room and one in the workshop.
