Scope of Work (SOW) Housing Site Sault Ste. Marie, MI For Carpet Installation

Scope of Work
1.1 The contractor is to remove all carpet and padding to be replaced and dispose of all materials off the USCG property at the contractor expense to an approved disposal site.
1.2 The contractor will repair or replace any damaged or loose tack strips as needed; inspect and repair the subfloor for any loose staples, screws, nails, and etc; identify and report any water, pet staining or odors, or any other abnormal damages that may cause further damage or odors to the USCG POC before continuing work.
1.3 All flooring will need to be cleaned of all loose debris, swept and/or vacuumed, before installing any new materials.
1.4 Install any needed rubber shims to level the carpet with any other flooring in use, and install transitions to areas connecting to different flooring materials.
1.5 Install stain resistant padding and carpet following the manufacturer’s recommendations.
1.6 Carpet installation on stairs is to be tucked.
Material/ Part Information
| 2.1 | All materials will be supplied by the contractor. |
| 2.2 | 8# 3/8” Spill guard padding is to be used. |
| 2.3 | Shaw Camden Harbor II carpet in the Pebble color is to be used. |
| 2.4 | All rubber shims used will be Johnsonite LS-40-E (D or E according to thickness required). |
| 2.5 | All transitions and other exposed materials planned for use will have to be approved by the POC listed for quality and color. Johnsonite #CEXXC Aluminum track and Johnsonite rubber #47 chocolate brown both in 12’ length should be used. |

3.1 All work is to be completed shall comply with Federal, State and Local Laws, Codes and Regulations.
Liabilities
4.1 The contractor will be financially responsible for any and all damages incurred while working on Government property.
Coordination
| 5.1 | All communications will go through the POC listed. No work can be modified or changed without their permission. |
| 5.2 | Work to be completed should have minimal impact on the unit’s operation. In the event any of the utilities need to be secured, these items should be well planned out. |
| 5.3 | Normal work hours for the unit is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, excluding all Federal Holidays. Any work outside these times need to be worked out ahead of time. |
| 5.4 | All required License, Certificates, Accreditation Card, etc. will be submitted with the quote or bid. |
Project Completion
| 6.1 | All work completed is up to the POC’s approval. The site is to be at a minimum as clean of a condition it was found in. All trash, debris, materials removed, etc. should be properly disposed by the contractor. There will be no on-site storage available for the duration of this project. |
| 6.2 | This contracted will be awarded for multiple addresses, all with different start times. The contractor will be given a one week window to schedule and complete each job. All jobs will be completed no later than September 30, 2019. |
