Description:

This is not a solicitation, request for quote, or proposal. No contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the time charter of one US Flagged Ice Class tanker vessel to support world-wide bulk fuel requirements of the U.S.

DoD to include a delivery each year to Antarctica for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and a delivery each year to Greenland for the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency-Energy (DOD/DLA-E). This is an ongoing performance-based requirement, and the solicitation will be developed in accordance with FAR Part 12 using Part 15 Procedures. The purpose of this procurement is to ensure that the Government is mission ready to meet its needs in the most effective, economical, and timely manner. Currently, contract N32205-17-C-3503, for the time charter of M/T MAERSK PEARY, is provided by USMMI. The current time charter ends 30 September 2021. This contract requires the Contractor to obtain and maintain a SECRET facilities clearance and to employ personnel with SECRET security clearances.

The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 15 March 2021. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and can be found on FEDBIZOPS (https://www.fbo.gov/) under solicitation number N32205-20-R-4143. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. All respondents must provide a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. The appropriate NAICS Code is 483111.

There are no responses due based on this pre-solicitation notice and the Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received for this notice.

MSC also requests interested parties submit any questions regarding the requirement to the POCs listed above.
