Description:
This is not a solicitation, request for quote, or proposal. MSC shall not award any contract or purchase order from this notice. The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the time charter of one U.S. or foreign flag (to be reflagged U.S.), Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System- Expeditionary (SURTASS-E), vessel in support of U.S. Navy operations worldwide. The solicitation will be a fixed-price time charter with reimbursable elements for a performance period of 12 months, plus three 1-year option periods and one 11-month option period.
The ship will need to be able to tow a passive acoustic monitoring system in a straight line for extended periods at slow speed. This contract requires the Contractor to have and maintain a SECRET facilities clearance.

The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 15 June 2020. Upon issuance, MSC will post the solicitation and supporting documentation on Contract Opportunities (https://www.beta.sam.gov/) under solicitation number N32205-20-R-4041. MSC shall consider all proposals from responsible sources \. All respondents must provide a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. The appropriate NAICS Code is 483111.
There are no responses due based on this pre-solicitation notice, and the Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received for this notice.
MSC also requests interested parties submit any questions regarding the requirement to the listed above.
