QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

IN RESPONSE TO THE RFQ # 2091JB-22-Q-00005

Question 1:

Any existing devices to rip out and dispose of?

Answer:

All old cameras are to be removed once the new system is fully functional.

Question 2:

What do the ceilings look like (hard ceiling, drop ceiling, etc.)?

Answer:

Existing ceiling is an acoustic drop-down ceiling.

Question 3:

Axis P3227-LV is discontinued. The Axis P3247-LV is a 3-4 month lead time. We have P3247- LVE’s readily available that can be used. Can we use those?

Answer:

Axis P3247-LV (Indoor Camera)

Question 4:

Can you please provide the location for NVR?

Answer:

System cabinet and Server/NVR will be located within the secured IDF room. Specific locations of the equipment will be identified on the floor plans (during the walk-through) for all contractors to utilize as a reference.

Question 5:

Would respectfully request an extension to the due date by a few days in order to prepare a response after receiving Q&A responses.

Answer:

Currently we don’t see a need to extend the due date.

Question 6:

Can you identify the location of the IDF?

Answer:

The IDF room is located directly behind the IRS TAC office lobby area. The floor plans being provided to the contractors during the walkthrough will have the IDF room annotated of the plans. It is essential that any contractor wanting to bid on this project should attend the walkthrough. The IDF Room is identified on the floor plans as “Electronics Room”.

Question 7:

Is there power available at the rack location?

Answer:

Power is currently available within the IDF room.

Question 8:

Where are you requesting that the monitors be mounted?

Answer:

The TAC Office will need two monitors, a large 48” wall mounted monitor must be mounted along the hallway wall of the secured administrative area. This monitor will only be viewed by IRS staff and cannot be in the view of the public. The second monitor a 24” monitor will be wall mounted within the IDF room adjacent to the NVR system. This monitor will be utilized for viewing footage during reviews of incidents. All potential contractors bidding on this project should attend the walkthrough in order to fully understand the layout of the office and new system.

Question 9:

I plan on bidding this project as a subcontractor and want to know the bidding general contractors or planholders, so I can get my bid to them. Could you let me know?

Answer:

We don’t have that information.

Question 10:

We respectfully request a one-week extension from when RFI responses are released on sam.gov.

Answer:

Currently we don’t see a need to extend the due date.
