About this file
The document is an Addendum to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Olympia 2045 Comprehensive Plan Update Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) issued by the City of Olympia. The addendum responds to several questions received during the question and answer period, including regarding flexibility in deadlines for interim deliverables, the roles of the City and consultant in preparing the draft and final EIS, and the availability of City staff to support the consultant throughout the project. The City indicates that all dates may be negotiated in the contract, and that City staff will handle issuance, routing, and notice of the draft EIS, while consultant support may be required for responding to comments on the final EIS.
The related state and local contract opportunity is for an EIS review for the Olympia Comprehensive Plan. The City seeks consultants with experience in non-project EIS work for Comprehensive Plans prepared under the state's Growth Management Act, to prepare a draft and final EIS based on the scoping already completed by the City. The work will also include a review of the City's critical areas ordinance using the state's most recent Best Available Science.
