About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for electronic payment card services. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) seeks to expand the use of electronic payment methods such as debit and credit cards to collect federal tax payments. The amendment revises the page limit for the technical approach section of proposals from 10 pages to 15 pages. It also reopens the solicitation and extends the deadline for proposal submissions to May 27, 2022 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time in response to the changes made. The solicitation seeks approaches for taxpayers to make balance due return payments, estimated tax payments, installment payments, and other tax payments using electronic transactions in order to minimize costs and ensure privacy and security.
