Questions and Answers

2031JW18Q00062

Question #1: Are CLINS 0001 and 0006 related?

Answer #1: CLINS 0001 is the End of Day close CDS prices while CLINS 0006 is about delayed intraday CDS prices. CLINS 0006 is optional as described in PART I, Section 2.0 PRICING of the RFQ.

Question #2: Is real-time streaming data of interest to the OCC?

Answer #2: Intraday CDS prices (a kind of real time streaming data) will be accessible through CDS Market Monitoring User Interface. In terms of delayed intraday delivery and deposit into OCC repository, as described in CLIN 0006, it is optional and will be funded with the initial award if: (1) the Contractor provides the Delayed Intraday CDS Prices and (2) the OCC requires the Delayed Intraday CDS Prices.

Question #3: Is the data being fed into an application?

Answer #3: No. CDS data is internally analyzed using standard statistical packages for bank supervisions and market and academic researches.

Question #4: Is the OCC considering multiple vendors?

Answer #4: No. The resulting Contract will be a single award.

Question #5: Does the OCC have a universe of CDS securities for which they will require pricing?

Answer #5: As described in Part II, Section 4.2 Data Set - Descriptive Requirement Details, the data provider is required to cover more than 2400 reference entities and entity tiers. OCC does not have its own list of universe of CDS securities, but expect the data vendor to provide wide coverage of CDS markets. Not only the cross-sectional coverage but also the span of historical time series are considered.

Question #6: If yes, will the OCC be able to provide the terms and conditions of those securities?

Answer #6: N.A. (See Answer #5)

Question #7: Is Section 11.0, Section 508, mandatory for this order?

Answer #7: Where applicable. The "data sets" are typically without interface and are expected to upload to another already existing program. Document deliverables (PDF) need to be 508 compliant.
