About this file

This is a Pavement Improvement Project document for the City of Darlington, South Carolina, detailing a comprehensive pavement rehabilitation initiative. The project encompasses approximately 23.720 miles of pavement improvements across designated roadways within the city limits. The scope of work includes surface preparation, asphalt milling, and new asphalt overlay installation to restore and extend the service life of deteriorated pavement sections. The project is designed to enhance traffic safety, improve ride quality, and reduce maintenance costs through systematic pavement rehabilitation of priority corridors identified in the city's transportation infrastructure assessment.

The project funding and specific bidding requirements, including bid submission deadlines, contract award timelines, and pricing terms, are detailed within the project documentation. Interested contractors should review all technical specifications, engineering plans, and bid documents to understand material requirements, quality standards, and project scheduling. The contract will be awarded to the qualified bidder offering the most responsive and cost-effective proposal meeting the city's technical and performance specifications for pavement improvements.
