About this file
This file is a sign application exhibit from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for the Ferndale Ridge Wildlife Management Area (WMA) woody invasives control project. The document serves as a template notice to be posted at treatment areas informing the public that the WMA is being managed for user safety and to protect against the spread of exotic species. The sign indicates that designated segments have been treated with pesticides to control invasive species such as buckthorn, and warns the public not to consume berries or other forest vegetation in treatment areas. The document includes fields for recording the treatment date, specific pesticides used, reentry restrictions in hours, applicator initials, and applicator company information. Contact information for the Rochester Wildlife Office is provided for additional inquiries.
The Ferndale Ridge Ridge WMA project (Solicitation #2027-435) seeks bids for all labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, herbicide, and incidentals necessary to chemically treat woody invasive species on approximately 16 acres located in Houston County. Unit pricing must be all-inclusive of labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, and applicable taxes. Responses must be submitted electronically through the Swift Portal, with no email or faxed submissions accepted. The State reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping, or by total as deemed most advantageous, and will award to the lowest responsible vendor meeting all specifications and terms. Contractors requiring assistance with registration may contact the Contractor Assistance Help Desk at 651-201-8100, Option 1.
