About this file
This is an Amendment #1 Questions and Answers document for RFB 2026-UWMSN-01371 issued by the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the procurement of Disposable Food Service Supplies. The solicitation seeks bids for various disposable food service products, with responses required to be submitted online through the ShopUW+ procurement portal at https://bids.sciquest.com/apps/Router/PublicEvent?CustomerOrg=UWisconsin. Bids are due July 27, 2026. Questions regarding the solicitation should be directed to Lori Storvik at lori.storvik@wisc.edu.
The amendment addresses pricing and discount structures for the proposed contract. A bidder inquired whether discounts for disposable food service supplies could vary by manufacturer and product type, citing that pricing typically depends on order quantities and whether items are stocked or ordered on an as-needed basis. The University clarified that bidders are permitted to enter a discount range for each manufacturer, allowing for flexibility in pricing proposals that accounts for variations across different manufacturers and product categories rather than requiring a single flat discount rate.

AMENDMENT #1
Questions and Answers for 2026-UWMSN-01371-RFB Disposable Food Service Supplies
Q1: I have been told from all our category managers, that the discounts vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and products. These products are typically contracted for a quantity over a period of time, for example would it be an item we would stock, or order as needed.
It is hard for me to provide just a single discount based on the disposable brand only. Is there any more information we can work with?
A1: You can enter a discount range for each manufacturer.
