About this file

This is a Question and Answer sheet for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2026-10 issued by the Habersham County Office of County Commissioners in Clarkesville, Georgia, regarding the procurement of animal shelter office furniture. The IFB covers multiple furniture items including a 4' x 10' conference room table, 6' x 6' cubicles with 62-inch panel heights (six total units), a reception desk without pedestals, seven desk chairs, sixteen guest chairs, and other furnishings for various rooms within the facility. The questions were answered weekly and posted on the county website, with a submission deadline of 2:00 p.m. on April 22, 2026. Bidders must submit sealed hard copies of proposals in person or by mail rather than via email. Installation is scheduled to occur during normal business hours with liftgate delivery of 26-foot vehicles confirmed as acceptable.

Regarding pricing and payment terms, Habersham County's standard practice is to pay for goods and services upon delivery; however, given the extended storage period and associated costs from the award date through the anticipated November 2026 delivery date, alternative payment structures including milestone-based payments will be considered and should be included in submitted bids. The county indicated willingness to consider purchasing through the Georgia State contract if the successful bidder maintains such a contract. Professional finishes and standard height adjustability are preferred. Notably, the county clarified that only items explicitly listed in the IFB should be included in bids, as other rooms are being furnished with existing county-owned furniture and new items separately.
