About this file
This presentation is a comprehensive overview of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island District's Small Business Industry Day, scheduled for April 9, 2025. The document provides detailed insights into the district's business lines, including navigation, flood risk management, environmental stewardship, recreation, and emergency management, covering approximately 78,000 square miles across five states and five river basins. The district's fiscal year 2024 appropriations total $334.3 million, with significant funding allocated to construction ($178.5M), operations & maintenance ($154.8M), and investigations ($1M).
The presentation highlights upcoming projects and solicitations, such as the Brandon Road Interbasin Project, Cedar Rapids Flood Risk Management Project, and various Navigation & Ecosystem Sustainability Program (NESP) initiatives. The small business program aims to achieve specific goals for different business categories, with FY24 actual obligations showing over 56% for small businesses and varying percentages for disadvantaged, woman-owned, HUBZone, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. The document also outlines acquisition strategies, contract types, and funding timelines for major projects, and provides contact information for key district personnel. Interested businesses are encouraged to attend industry days, use provided websites for opportunities, and engage in individualized meetings to explore potential partnerships.
