About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for providing 4-year extended warranties and on-site repair services for Lexmark MS711, MS725, and MS823 series laser printers used by the Library of Congress (LOC) National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) partner libraries across the United States for their Duplication-On-Demand (DOD) system.

The key requirements are for the contractor to provide the extended warranties and on-site repair services for the 52 Lexmark printers identified by model and serial number. The contractor must coordinate with the NLS partner library contacts to schedule on-site repairs as needed. The contractor must also provide monthly written reports on the status and any repairs completed. A quality control plan or copy of the commercial warranty/maintenance agreement is required. This SOW is related to a sole source justification for this requirement, which indicates the Library intends to award a sole source contract to Lexmark International, Inc. unless other capable firms can demonstrate they can meet all the SOW requirements by October 16, 2024. The contract was awarded on October 28, 2024.
