About this file

This is a formal Invitation to Bid (ITB) #2025028 issued by the Town of Amherst, New York's Contract Compliance & Administration Department for Pentair-Myers Submersible Pumps & Service. The bid seeks proposals from qualified respondents to supply the entire line of Pentair Myers submersible pumps for the Town of Amherst Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF), with the primary goal of establishing a term contract for pump supply, evaluation, and potential repair services. The bid is scheduled to be opened on July 31, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with a two-year contract term and potential for two successive one-year extensions at the same bid price. Bidders are required to submit four copies of their proposal, with original signatures in blue ink, covering various pump types including recessed impeller, enclosed impeller, and grinder pumps, along with associated items like guiderails, chains, lifting bails, and control panels.

The pricing structure includes a percentage discount from the manufacturer's list price for pumps and components, with bidders required to quote a fixed discount percentage that will apply to all items. The bid includes line items for pickup/return fees, evaluation fees, labor charges for repairs, and parts markup. Specific pump models are listed with their catalog numbers, voltages, and horsepower ratings, providing a detailed framework for pricing. The Town of Amherst will place orders on an as-needed basis, with no guaranteed volume, and expects expedited freight costs to be included in the overall discount. The contract emphasizes transparency, requiring original purchase receipts for parts over $75 and allowing the town to verify pricing through electronic means. Bidders must also provide non-collusive bidding certifications and comply with various legal requirements, including the Iran Divestment Act.
