About this file
This document is a Quick Quote Requirements (Products) file issued by Sarasota County for Navigation Aid Buoys. The document details comprehensive specifications for procuring buoys, including four distinct types: Regulatory Can Buoys (9"x61"), Navigational Can Buoys (9"x61"), Regulatory Nun Buoys (42"x28"), and Regulatory Float Collar Buoys (42"x28"). All buoys must conform to United States Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission standards, feature specific reflective bands, and include precise measurement requirements. The buoys must be made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), be heavy-duty to withstand harsh conditions, and include durable solid vinyl graphics guaranteed not to fade for five years. Delivery requirements specify that buoy proofs must be submitted within 2 weeks of purchase order issuance, with the full buoy order completed and delivered within 45 days of the County's proof approval.
The document outlines specific requirements for bidders, including providing references related to buoy production, complying with federal, state, and local regulations, and submitting a single proof of each buoy at no additional cost for County review and approval. The warranty must be at least five years against peeling, fading, cracking, or delaminating. Bidders must furnish detailed manufacturer information if proposing alternate products, with alternates subject to County evaluation and approval. The delivery location is specified as the Sarasota County Warehouse at 1451 Cattlemen Rd, with specific delivery truck requirements including a liftgate and pallet jack. The County reserves the right to request clarifications or additional information from offerors and mandates that all inquiries be submitted electronically through OpenGov Procurement.
