About this file
This document is an Equipment Specifications form for the 2025-725 Park Rapids Forestry Area Road Brushing project, which outlines specific requirements for contractors performing roadside brush and sapling removal. The specifications mandate that the brush cutter must be capable of chopping vegetation up to two inches in diameter, with restrictions on equipment type - specifically prohibiting sickle mowers and requiring the use of flail, disk, or rotary mowers. The cutting head must be boom-mounted to reach into ditches, as most roads lack shoulders, and off-road surface cutting is not permitted.
The document requires contractors to provide detailed information about their mower, including make, model, year, cutting head type, cutting width, and whether the equipment is leased or owned. Additional operational requirements include displaying a flashing light visible from front and rear, a "Slow Moving Vehicle" sign, and installing adequate safety guards to protect employees, road users, and bystanders. The form provides a table for contractors to list their equipment specifics and includes spaces for the contractor's name, signature, and date of submission.
