About this file

This document is a Standard Insurance Provisions schedule for contractors working with the County of Westchester, New York, detailing comprehensive insurance requirements for contractors prior to and throughout the term of an agreement. The schedule mandates that contractors obtain specific insurance coverages, including Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability, Commercial General Liability Insurance (with a $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate limit), Commercial Umbrella/Excess Insurance ($2,000,000 each Occurrence and Aggregate), and Automobile Liability Insurance (with a $1,000,000 minimum liability limit).

The insurance provisions require that all policies name the "County of Westchester" as an additional insured on a primary and non-contributory basis, include specific coverage types such as premises operations and completed operations, and contain clauses preventing subrogation against the County. Contractors must provide evidence of insurance from companies licensed in New York with a Best's financial rating of A or better, and must submit certificates showing compliance with specific requirements, including a waiver of subrogation and additional insured status. The document emphasizes that failure to maintain required insurance does not relieve the contractor of liability and that the County may suspend or terminate the agreement if insurance requirements are not met.
