SECTION C--DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK

STATEMENT OF WORK

PRESCOTT TOILET AND HOLDING TANK PUMPING CONTRACT

SECTION I - GENERAL

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Recreation Based Vault Toilet and Septic Tank Pumping services on the Prescott National Forest with a Base Year and four options years, from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and incidentals necessary to pump, remove, clean, haul and dispose of effluents and debris from toilets and holding tanks at recreation sites on the Bradshaw and Verde Ranger Districts of the Prescott National Forest. This statement of work consists of completing the tasks in Section IV to the performance requirements of Section VI. There are 99 units indicated on this SOW and includes:

7 Septic Vaults (public) +- 2000 Gal tank 6 Compost Toilets (public) +- 1000 Gal tank 87 Vault Toilets

18 -non-public vaults (Host Vaults – 2300 gal)
69 – public vaults (10 Single (1000 gal) and 59 Double (2000 gal) Vaults)

There is a differentiation between public and non-public due to the nature of public toilets. Trash is often thrown in public toilets that makes them more difficult to clean.

The frequency of pumping service fluctuates yearly due to public use and occupancy of hosts. Some years a host site may go un-staffed or be seasonally staffed requiring less pumping. Similarly, public vaults may see more use at some areas over others or environmental factors such as excessive heat that tend to evaporate fluids in the vaults.

Three remote locations exist:

1. Crown King / Horsethief Basin (Horsethief Cabin Septic Vault, Turney Gulch CG vault and Hazlett Hollow Campground (2 vaults)

2. Palace Station Rental Cabin vault

3. Sycamore Rental Cabin septic vault

Six Compost Toilets exist. It is anticipated that these units will be cleaned annually for the life of this contract. Annual cleaning may require more intensive labor.

1. 3 reside at Potato Patch Campground

2. 2 reside at Yavapai Campground

3. 1 resides at Wekuvde.

Six septic Systems exist that may require pumping over the life of this contract.

1. Horsethief Rental Cabin Septic

2. Sycamore Rental Cabin Septic

3. Yavapai CG Host Septic

4. North Shore Limited Flush Septic

5. Lynx CG Loop B Limited Flush Septic

6. Lynx CG Loop E Limited Flush Septic
