Request for Information Web Redesign of Nano.gov Website for the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office National Science Foundation

Request for Information 49100425K0007 NSF is seeking capability statements from all interested vendors to redesign the nano.gov website.

This request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and is to allow the industry the opportunity to submit responses describing their relevant capabilities – it does not constitute a request for proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.

Background The National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO) conducts public engagement, much of which is done through the nano.gov website, on behalf of the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) and provides technical and administrative support to the interagency nanotechnology community. NNCO activities include efforts to convene the nanotechnology community, share information on available resources and opportunities, engage with the public, excite students about nanotechnology, and share highlights and information about nanotechnology and the NNI.

The NNI is a U.S. Government research and development (R&D) initiative consisting of Federal departments, independent agencies, and commissions working together toward the shared vision of a future in which the ability to understand and control matter at the nanoscale leads to ongoing revolutions in technology and industry that benefit society. The NNI enhances interagency coordination of nanotechnology R&D, supports a shared infrastructure, promotes technology transfer, facilitates commercialization, enables leveraging of resources while avoiding duplication, and establishes shared goals, priorities, and strategies that complement agency-specific missions and activities.
