Is this the tank in question?

Yes o What is the height of the tank? Approximately 145’, water tank diagram attached.

Is the intent for the interior coating work to perform spot repairs or sandblast the entire interior areas and recoat? Sandblast the entire interior areas and recoat.

o Do the interior coatings contain lead? No o Is there a specification for what the interior coating system should be? AWWA Standards, according to State rule: TCEQ title 20. Chapter 290.43 (c) (8).

Is the intent for the exterior coating work to perform a spot repair, Pressure Wash and full Overcoat, or to sandblast the exterior with containment and recoat? sandblast the exterior with containment and recoat.

o There was mention that the exterior coatings contain lead. Is there an analysis that tells how high the lead levels are? IBWC can’t guarantee lead presence or absence, Contractor may conduct a test to verify lead levels and take the necessary safety and health measures to perform the maintenance.

o Is there a specification for what the exterior coating system should be? AWWA Standards, according to State rule: TCEQ title 20. Chapter 290.43 (c) (8).

Will EM‐385 safety certification training be required? Yes Is there an inspection report available for the tank? Yes. Inspection report attached.

Is the intent to replace the 8” standpipe in its entirety from the valve vault into the bowl? Yes.
