B. No instream work is allowed (Fish Creek and Marx Creek).

C. No dogs or other pets are allowed at the project site at any time, due to bear activity and Government regulations.

D. The Contractor shall secure the site from public use during all staging and construction operations. No public access to be allowed. It is the Contractors responsibility to secure the site, without impacting the natural movement of bears in the area due to perimeter fencing or other barriers. Provide to the CO for approval all methods and materials for securing the project site from the public prior to installation.

E. Between July 1– August 30, during the “peak season” for visitor and wildlife use, construction work along the boardwalk and existing parking area involving heavy equipment, generators, excessively loud noise (as determined by the COR), and other activities that interfere with public access to the site and bear populations will not be allowed. Contractor shall secure the site to allow public access during this period as described in part 1.1.F and 1.1.G below.

F. The Contractor shall secure the site during seasonal (October 30- May 1) shut down and during the peak season shutdown (July 1– August 30). Obtain CO approval of site conditions, securing of site, and allowed visitor access prior to Contractor leaving the site including any other periods when the Contractor leaves the site for more than a week (7 days) period. Before leaving the project area, remove from the work area and premises, other than the storage and staging area indicated on the drawings, any rubbish, tools, equipment, and materials that are not the property of the Government.

Leave the work area in a clean, neat, and orderly condition satisfactory to the CO.

G. The Contractor may use the parking areas at the Fish Creek site for material storage and staging for the duration of the contract. Five parking spaces and vehicle access to the dike road must remain available for government use. During periods of shutdown the Contractor may use a portion of the parking areas at the Fish Creek site for material storage and staging, as shown on the drawings. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for damage to or loss of materials stored at the project site.
